Taste of Lake Arrowhead kicks off Arrowhead Gives Back Week
The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce’s annual Taste of Lake Arrowhead will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa from 5pm to 8pm.
The cost is $25 per person and each attendee is asked to bring either a toy, gift card, or bag of food for Operation Provider as this event is held to help this wonderful organization. A new feature to this year's "Taste" will be the addition of 3 People's Choice Awards that attendees will vote on. The categories include Best of the Taste of Lake Arrowhead 2008, Dish of the Year 2008, and Most Creative Display 2008.

The Taste of Lake Arrowhead also kicks off a 5 day “Arrowhead Gives Back” charitable program. This is a take-off on American Idol’s Idol Gives Back event that happens once a year. At the end of this year’s Taste of Lake Arrowhead, Season 6 American Idol Finalist Haley Scarnato will perform at the Resort. She will also make several appearances throughout the communities over the next few days in conjunction with the Arrowhead Gives Back program.
There are several Lake Arrowhead area charities that are in the trenches helping a variety of people day in and day out – 24/7. The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa, Lake Arrowhead Village and Blue Jay Village have banded together, and hope to bring our communities together, to donate at various places throughout the communities
This is the last Idol visit held in conjunction with Idol Camp. Haley will be visiting the Lake Arrowhead Communities Dec. 3 – 7. At press time the Arrowhead Gives Back plan is still being formulated, but the idea of the event is that the Lake Arrowhead Communities will be offering holiday help through this program to our local charities.
